Our Founding and First Two Years

• July 2, 2006 - First service of South Bay Bible Fellowship held in Eastport American Legion Hall; 89 adults plus 8 children. The Rev. Dr. Timothy F. Conklin was called to be the founding pastor.




• August 6, 2006 - First service held at our semi-permanent site, Casa Basso Restaurant, 59 Montauk Highway, Westhampton.




• August 27, 2006 - First Church Picnic held at Newport Beach, East Moriches.




• December 17, 2006 - SBBF's first Christmas service.




• May 12, 2007 - Large yard sale of the contents remaining at White Truffle Inn, 587 Montauk Highway, East Moriches.




• July 1, 2007 - First service (after extensive renovating) at our permanent location, 578 Montauk Highway, East Moriches.




• September 3, 2007 - Second annual Church Picnic held again at Newport Beach, East Moriches.




• October 21, 2007 - Formal dedication of SBBF (special speaker, William R. Rice, Pastor of Woodland Hills Bible Church, Harlan, Kentucky); followed by brunch at Casa Basso Restaurant.




• June 7, 2008 - Formal Open House for SBBF to invite the surrounding community to visit the facility and see first-hand this extraordinary Italianate Victorian mansion.
